Bought this engine July 1993 at the EDGE&TA National Meet at the Nevada County Fair grounds in Grass Valley, CA. We would fire it up at our family reunions and gatherings for many years but for the past 15 years it has remained in our garage. I would “pull the engine through” every month or so to make sure it was not frozen and recently pulled the spark plug with ignition wire attached, set it on the block and rotated the crankshaft until the Magneto fired. I do get a solid spark on the plug. The oilers and grease caps are on the engine. The fuel tank is most likely fouled due to undrained fuel that eventually evaporated. A new copper/brass fuel line with the “one-way” fitting is included along with a reprint of the Hercules Manual and Parts list. Engine located near Placerville & Auburn, CA. The item “Antique Hercules Hit & Miss Engine” is in sale since Wednesday, May 16, 2018. This item is in the category “Business & Industrial\Light Equipment & Tools\Stationary Engines\Engines”.
