My late son’s estate included a number of hit and miss engines. This one is a Hercules 7 HP. The brass plate says H. I have no idea why it has an E after the 7. Have been to engine shows with my son and watched this engine run. It is not a patched up mess that is worn out and having repairs. It is not cracked or welded on and nothing is broken that I can detect. The brass plate says the RPM is 375 and serial number is 155177. I assume with that number the date of manufacture can be checked. As this is a large engine I do not wish to try and crate it. It’ll have to be picked up here in Walla Walla WA. Please let me know if you have questions. I can supply more photos if you wish. The item “Hercules Hit and Miss Engine” is in sale since Saturday, June 15, 2019.
