This is a Magneto For A Rather Large Gas Engine Tagged As “The Star” Made By The Hercules Electric & Mfg Co. Of Indianapolis Indiana USA. 1156 This Looks Like It Should Go On The Front Of A Big Engine such as An IHC Mogul Or Another type of Side shaft But Have Not Been Able to Positively Identify it As of Yet.. This Is 7 3/4″ Tall, 10 1/4″ Long, Base Measures: 4 1/8″ X 5 1/8″ Bolt Hole spacing is 3 Weighs 27 LBS! I Have Had This For About 10 Years & Have not Been Able to Find it A Home, Although It Could Be Made to work for A Number Of Applications…. I Once seen An Old Add For The Hercules Electric & Mfg. Which Stated They Can “Make A Magneto For Any Application”. This Came From an Old Mag Repair business Up In North Dakota Every Magneto That Came From There Has worked And Looking This Over I see No Reason this would not work, as I Have no way To Really Test It… No Damage Or Repairs, Look The Pictures Over… Any Questions On Application Or Dimensions Or If More Pictures are Needed, Please contact Me I will Help You Out!!!
