This is a very nice original International Harvester Type L low tension rotary magnet as used on the ignitor fired 1 1/2 and 3hp IHC Type M engines as well as optional equipment on the small Famous engines. It is in outstanging original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of other than a slight crack on an ear of the housing which will affect nothing. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings and turns over smoothly with excellent magnetic pull. It has a very hot spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It has the early name band on it and flip cap oilers. I mounts with 2 holes 2 inches apart on center and the mounting threads are in great shape. It currently has a 30-tooth gear on it along with a dust shield for a 1 1/2hp engine but you could easily swap this for the gear of your needs. This magneto is ready to be used on an engine or put on your shelf for a spare. If you need one for an authentic restoration look no further! The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
