This is a NOS, new old stock Hays 1 gas regulating valve as used on engines. It is in excellent condition with no issues except some very minor shelf wear. The threads are in perfect shape and and the handle moves as it should. It has the diamond shaped barrel to be used to run an engine as can be seen. It is ready to be used on an engine. These NOS valves are exceedingly tough to find in the wild anymore so if you’ve been looking for one for an engine project or just for a spare on the shelf here it is. The pictures tell the story.
