This magneto will produce a weak spark by giving the armature a quick spin by hand and scratching the lead out wire against my steel bench. I don’t believe it’s enough spark to start or run an engine however. A issue with this magneto to why the spark is weak I believe is that the armature has a BAD drag to it. 2″ x 2″ mounting. For it being a pot metal base, from what I can see on the exterior I don’t see any cracking or chips un like a lot of these pot metal magnetos. See pictures for the absolute best description!
