This is an original cast iron piston for an Alamo, Rock Island, Empire, Cockshutt, or other Alamo-built hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. The piston has a part number of 9347. It is 4 1/8 inches in diameter with a tape measure and 4 13/16 long overall. It has a 1″ diameter wrist pin hole that is about 2 7/16″ on center from the top of the piston. I would say this is for about a 3hp engine. If you know what size it fits please educate me. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The original rings are in it and may be usable but I’ll leave that up to the new owner. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. These original parts are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets! If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration or to replace your broken or repaired one here’s your chance.
