Up for scale is a beautiful 1/3 scale Associated Hit and Miss The Hired Man Little Brother engine professionally built by George P. Lowman from Keymar, Maryland in 1986. Lowman was known for building show quality model engines as you can see in the pictures. Lowman’s estate sale. Take notice of the L in the castings for Mr. Lowman’s initial where you would typically see the B for Breisch castings. This engine has a 1 1/4 inch bore with a 1 5/8 inch stroke. The flywheels are 6 1/4 inches in diameter. Overall length is 15 inches with a height of 9 1/2 inches. Measurements for the height and length include the base. Included with this engine is the blueprints used by Mr. Lowman to complete the build. This would make a great addition to anyone’s collection.
