Root & Vandervoort 1 HP Hit and Miss Engine – Rare engine in the small 1 HP with skeleton base. I believe it was made in the early teens – AR Model – Over a 100 years old. It will need new babbit bearings all around. The crank has pitting on it (should be able to be filled with JB weld or similar) and the flywheels will bounce back on the compression so it is decent. I believe it will also need other various work to make this engine in good running condition, possibly rings or valve work or bushings. It is going to need some work. I think in the right hands this could end up being a very nice collector piece. Seems to be all complete except for the exhaust pipe. I think it might need some new springs on the latch out, they do not seem right but I could be wrong. Oiler is NOT INCLUDED , It is on a temporary cart, NOT INCLUDED. Good Fuel tank and Pulley.
