This is a 2.5 Hp, Vertical, 2 cycle, Hit and Miss engine built by Detroit Engine Works. It is a true Hit and Miss. The governor linkage locks the carburetor check valve shut when the engine is up to speed. Engine was restored many years ago and was last run 4 – 5 years ago. Has always been stored indoors. After last running, the gas tank was drained and dried out. Gas tank had previously been coated with sealer. I just checked the coil and it is hot. Battery is NOT included. Dolly is NOT included. This engine will run in either direction and can be reversed on the fly. This engine has sat for about 4 years and may need some fiddling to put it back in running condition. It was running before being put into storage. There is an old repair on the waster jacket. Overall length 42″, width 22″, Height 35.
