Introducing’FYNJREX’ Low-Tension Coil, designed for Hit and Miss Gas Engines featuring a Normally Open Igniter-specifically not for engines with a spark plug. Ideal for Science Fair Projects, this coil vividly demonstrates the interplay of electricity and magnetism, emphasizing their inseparable connection. As with any electrical device, caution is advised, as the coil can produce a shock resulting in reflexive movements and potential mild injury. Crafted with precision, we use Brass and Stainless hardware for assembly. These non-magnetic materials preserve the integrity of the magnetic field around the iron core, ensuring a uniform collapse around the windings upon igniter point opening. Compact with a 4-1/2″ L x 2-1/2″ W footprint and 2-3/4 height, our design prioritizes a shorter coil for a denser magnetic field when energized, yielding a more potent induced spark. The coil is meticulously wound with constant tension on 100% copper wire. The solid Oak frame and Brass connection terminals provide durability, while countersunk brass nuts ensure a secure fit without compromising aesthetics. To prevent rusting and maintain efficiency, the iron core is coated with an insulated material before wire application. Layers of high-temperature rated insulation further safeguard against rust. Rigorous testing precedes the installation of the outer cover and base. Designed for convenience, the wood base allows easy mounting on skids or carts, with or without a bracket, making it a versatile addition to your setup.
