AMERICAN – BOSCH MAGNETO CO. DEALER BENCH – TYPE MAGNET CHARGER. This was quality old school USA-made of mostly heavy cast-iron with a thick wood base by the American-Bosch Magneto Company of Springfield MA. (it has the Company Name plus the “Fritz The Flyer” Devil character company emblem cast-into it). I believe it was 6-volt powered… Fresh from the estate of a long-time Hit & Miss/Stationary Engine and Ford Model T collector. A rare Magnet Charger for the early Hit & Miss Engine, old Ford Model T or antique Shop/Garage Tool Collector. Message me for an accurate quote. 17″ long x 10″ tall x 7-5/8 wide. CONDITION : Appears very good used with some expected wear (mainly to the wood base)/scattered paint loss/etc. However it DOES have continuity (when the Switch is closed) and according to relatives it was the previous owner’s favorite magnet charger. NEVER be afraid to make an offer! I will be listing quite a few old/vintage/antiques from the estate. Was used for farm back in the day, one would hook this up to an old hit or miss engine to fill up a tank on a wagon from a pond or creek so you could water your crops. Cylinder still works when you turn the wheel. I’m not sure if this is complete or if it can be rebuilt – hopefully it can! You’re getting it as found in the barn, rust dust all. I do not see any cracks, breaks or repairs to be found anywhere. When you turn the flywheel it seems to move OK, so I’m hoping somebody can use/rebuild this for their antique farm machinery stuff. Marked with embossed lettering that reads, WARD LOVE PUMP CORP. ROCKFORD ILL USA MADE FOR CRANE CO. I looked up the patent number on an old ad I found and it was filed in 1922 to help you date the pump, the patent number was. It measures roughly 22 inches long and 15 inches tall. Old farm estate find from in-law’s barn. Great for repurposing or adding to your collection. Ready for display in any rustic setting. Please inspect the photos for markings, details and size. Don’t be tempted by a cheap price tag, compare the features and you will realize the difference in quality and value. Quality remains long after price is forgotten. Bolsters are cast iron of universal design, adaptable to your application. Fully machined and painted, ready for use. Axle u-bolts and mounting hardware included. Wheels are machine bored, rather than a rough cast cored hole, and then the outer rim of the wheel is machined flat and smooth as opposed to tapered rough cast. Handle mounting brackets clamp onto turning axle making handle mounting and removing easy. Instructions include with set. 8″ diameter by 2″ wide, 1-1/6″ bore for ¾” pipe axle. Steering Bolster – 5″ diameter base, 6-1/2″ wide axle mount saddle, two 7/16″ mounting bolts 3-3/4″ apart. Solid bolsters – 3″ tall, 4-1/2″ long mounting base, 1-1/2 thick. 3-1/2″ long, 2″ wide, 1″ thick, ½” x 1 post. Maximum recommended engine weight is 500 pounds. The only parts needed to complete the cart are common 3/4 pipe for the axles, engine mounting rails, front bolster mounting plate, a handle and nuts and bolts. Here is a set of cast iron parts that will take a lot of the work and all of the welding out of making a wheelbarrow style cart for your engine. Included are one pair of bolsters with axle mounting hardware, two 8″x2″ six spoke wheels and two handle/support legs. Bolsters are 3 tall and will allow you to make a nice heavy duty cart for engines up to 275 pounds. The only parts needed to complete the cart are common 3/4 pipe for the axle, engine mounting rails, nuts and bolts. Cast iron will give an antique look many prefer over fabricated strap steel and help your engine really stand out at the next show.
