This is a rather hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket body for an Associated or United hit and miss gas engine. It should fit all the sizes of engines but please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It is bracket number 303K55 and seems to be unused New Old Stock with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the magneto mounts on a 2 x 2 inch square hole pattern so it would take a Model K or L Webster magneto. There is no wear on the movable shaft that I can feel. The point on the movable electrode is in perfect condition. It needs a stationary electrode, advance/retard lever and roller and return spring to be complete. I acquired it with a couple other NOS Webster brackets from an old collection. If you need an Associated ignitor bracket for any reason here is a very nice one that just needs some small available items to be functional. This bracket should be interchangeable with the 303K62 brackets for the Ottawa engines but this K55 is the authentic number used on Associated engines. The pictures tell the story. This is a brand NEW Associated 6 HP Chore Boy Brass data tag copied from an original tag. THIS IS AN ETCHED TAG AND HAS DEPTH. IT IS NOT A PRINTED TAG. I make these tags myself and take great pride and care to make sure this tag has the look and the feel of an original. Happy to say that this tag was made right here in the U. Made from 0.032 thick sheet brass. I use a process very similar to the way the original tags were made. You will be hard pressed to tell the difference in my tags and an original. This tag is ready to stamp with your engines’ specific information. Mounting holes are not drilled but they are clearly marked by the etching process. Depth of etch is consistent with original antique brass tags. This tag will fit engines with mounting holes center to center distances. Horizontal mounting holes = 5.125. Vertical mounting holes = 3.00. IMPORTANT: Please measure your engines’ mounting hole spacing to ensure that this tag will fit your particular application. Please see pictures for overall dimensions. This is a 1/3 scale model of an Associated Hired Man hit and miss engine with high quality machining. The castings were made by Paul Breisch. It runs on propane with a miniature on-demand regulator. The oilier needs an adapter. See the video of it running in the link below. Its running fast but could be slowed down. The first three video shots were of it hooked up to an external traditional buzz coil ignition and 6V battery. The last shot was it running on a troublesome electronic buzz coil hidden in the base. The hits are so weak that it never gets up to speed to start to miss. A solution is to upgrade it to a hall sensor based ignition system, or run it on a buzz coil. It has a timing lever that can be adjusted while the engine is running. Included is the model, a clutch/pulley setup, the propane fuel hookup system, and a digital copy of the Breisch blue prints for this model. Here is a real nice original 4-bolt large magneto for an Associated or United hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts on a 2 3/4 inch square holt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. The leadout seems to be in great shape. There is almost no noticeable wear in the bearings and the armature turns as it should with great magnetic pull. This magneto puts out a nice hot spark and is ready to run an engine. It currently has a 25-tooth gear on it for the Chore Boy and Hired Man engine but this could be changed with the gear of your choice. If you need a magneto for your engine or to replace your broken or repaired one here is a great opportunity. These nice original magnetos don’t come up very often so don’t miss it.
