Circa 1920 Hit & Miss Gas Engine Mounting Stand. This piece is cast iron with some of the original green paint showing. There are no breaks or chips that we can see. The top measures 8 1/2″ x6″. Circa 1900′s Witte Hit & Miss Gas Engines Catalog. A large size catalog it is with photos. The color cover has some yellowing and some handwritting on it. Info on the company and manufacturing plant. Might have been folded at one time. Inside looks complete and fairly clean. Lots of points of interest regarding the engines from 2 HP to 22 HP. Inside is dated 1913. Measures 9 1/4″ x 12 1/4″. An Antique Horizontal Steam Engine Toy in “as found” condition. This Circa 1900 piece has not been tested. We do not see a name on it. Flywheel turns and the piston moves. The governor is present and spins. The blowoff valve does move but is missing it’s handle. There is some old finish visible and signs of use on the body. There is no burner. An Antique Steam Engine Toy in “as found” condition. Recently acquired from a nice clean old estate. This Circa 1900 piece has not been tested. It is marked J. It rests on a large tin base with old green, red and yellow pinstripe on it. Some wear showing and discoloration from age. The insignia is in the corner, see photos. Burner is inside the boiler and has the smokestack and little blowoff handle which moves. The engine turns free and has a unique two piston arrangement.
