This is an extremely hard to find original ignitor for a Domestic hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind and appears to have been rebuilt. It is part number 10 and mounts with two 7/16 inch holes 3 1/8 inches apart on center. This ignitor should fit all the sizes of Domestic engines but please measure your engine or consult your parts book to be be sure. Everything moves and functions as it should. There is no noticeable wear on the movable shaft and trip finger and very little wear on the points. I believe it’s ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! Let the pictures be your guide. You won’t be disappointed in any way. This is a 2hp Domestic Mud Pump Outfit. I restored this engine less than a year ago. Everything was disassembled, cleaned, and refinished using professional materials. The head was cracked when I bought the engine so I hired a company who specializes in cast-repairs to make a professional repair. The engine runs great and the diaphragm pump is ready to go with all new gaskets. I rebuilt the mag with new points and springs and the spark is very strong. This is my 3rd Domestic restoration and I’m ready to move on to my next project so it’s up for sale. Located in NE Ohio 44404. Take a look at the video, it was recorded before I had much time to fine tune the mixer and timing. I’ve probably ran the engine 2 hours since the restoration and it never skips a beat. This is a 1 1/2 HP Domestic Hit and Miss Gas Engine. It comes as shown on the cart. I had this running for a couple minutes but do not have time to play with it. It has low compression which I believe is due to week rings. I pulled the piston and found the bore looks good and he rings are present but appear to be weak since I can push the piston but into the cylinder easily. I see no cracks breaks or welds. This is a nice complete 2hp Domestic Hit & Miss engine with the original mud pump and on the rare original contractors cart. There are no known cracks, breaks or welds to the engine or it’s pump. The engine was last running about five years ago and has been sitting since. I’m sure the gas tank will need a good cleaning and with a little tinkering the engine will run as it should. The only thing missing is its original tag. The contractors cart is very well made and each of its wheels has its own grease cup attached to it. With a good cleaning and a few adjustments this pump engine will make a very nice display. Almost all of my items are used, vintage, and/or antique.
