For your consideration is an original Essex Brass, Half Pint Oiler that can be used for Hit Miss, Stationary, Oil Field Engine. The 1/2 NPT threads appear in good shape. There is a check ball inside the threads. The stem for the side adjustment handle appears to be tweaked a bit but that shouldnt effect its usage. The flip adjustment on the side is spring loaded as it should be, but the sight glass below it needs replaced as its missing. Its stamped 1/2 Pint and 64000 on the end square below the drip flipper. The main stem may be tweaked a bit but its hard to tell. This is a VERY hard to find original brass oiler for a hit and miss gas or marine engine. This style was originally used on some larger engines where there were many points of lubrication. It could be used wherever it’s special configuration warrants. It is a 10-feed oiler and appears to be 100% complete. All of the glasses seem to be in good shape and everything seems to work as it should. It is about 10 inches long overall and is about 9 inches tall overall. The reservoir is about 3 1/2 x 4 inches. It needs some cleaning and possibly some new gaskets but that’s the fun part. After that it should be ready to go to work on an engine with no extra attention! It has all of the originla lower fittings to hook up the copper lines. It also has the original filler lid. It has a cast brass mounting bracket with the original nut on the back and has a great original patina and look to it and would look great on an original engine. These oilers are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets. It would even make a great spare on the shelf. The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way! Glass cylinder is approx. Similar in size to a Lunkenheimer #4. Cylinder glass is dirty but intact. Fill cap is intact. Sight glass is intact but may not be original. Wrench marks on bottom of sight glass portion. Have not cleaned it. Will let new owner clean it to his specifications. #2 Michigan Lubricator Co. Brass oiler/lubricator marked “Michigan Lubricator Co Detroit Mich”. Size: Oiler measures 5 ½” high X 2 5/8″ in diameter. Similar in size to a Lunkenheimer #3. Top flipper is a bit loose. #3 Michigan Lubricator Co. Sight glass is missing. Stem and fill cap are missing as well as sight glass. Glass has a crack. #4 Michigan Lubricator Co. Sight glass is intact. Glass cylinder and sight glass is intact. #5 D T Williams Valve Co. Brass oiler/lubricator marked “D T Williams Valve Co Cin O No 1 ½ Tacoma”. Size: Oiler measures 5 3/8″ high X 2″ in diameter. Similar in size to a Lunkenheimer # 1½. #6 Michigan Lubricator Co. Size: Oiler measures 4 5/8″ high X 2″ in diameter. Similar in size to a Lunkenheimer #1½. Glass cylinder is intact with a couple of minor pits. #7 Essex Brass Corp. Size: Oiler measures 4 3/8″ high X 1 3/4″ in diameter. Similar in size between Lunkenheimer #1 and #1 ½. Cylinder glass is good. #8 Michigan Lubricator Co. Size: Oiler measures 4″ high X 1 7/8″ in diameter. Similar in size to a Lunkenheimer #1 1/2. Glass cylinder is intact. #9 Essex Brass Corp. Size: Oiler measures 3 7/8″ high X 1 5/8″ in diameter. Similar in size between Lunkenheimer #1. No reserve, read particulars. Wooden stand not included.
