I HAVE FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION A FAIRBANKS AND MORSE TYPE R1 ROTARY/IMPULSE MAGNETO. THIS MAG WAS FACTORY INSTALLED ON A 3HP OR 6HP FAIRBANKS AND MORSE MODEL Z. THIS WAS A REPLACEMENT FOR THE BOSCH AB33. IT HAS THE 25 TOOTH GEAR. THIS IS ONLY FOR THE STRAIGHT CUT GEAR ENGINES. IF YOU HAVE A LATER ANGLE GEARED ENGINE, THIS WILL NOT WORK. THE MAG IS EXTREMELY HOT, AND THROWS A NICE BLUE HOT SPARK. THE MOUNTING PLATE HOLES ARE 3 7/8 ON CENTER. This is a nice original cast iron governor bracket with cam gear for a Fairbanks Morse Z engine. It should be for the 1 1/2 and 2hp engines that used the Bosch AB magneto but it may fit others like the dishpan model as well. It mounts with 2 holes 3 1/2 inches apart on center. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. Everything turns and interacts as is should with minimal noticeable wear. With a couple additions like the spindle it should be ready to be used on an engine. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Let the pictures be your guide. These cast iron governors are not real plentiful and they’re so much more reliable than the pot metal ones so don’t miss it if you need it.
