Very nice original early style ignitor fired 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z throttle governed engine. Engine seems to have very little wear as it has great compression and the gears and bearing show very little wear. There is an old repair on the head which could likely be dressed down but otherwise no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It is missing the magneto but could easily be run with a battery and coil. It will need a gas tank. It has a great amount of original paint on it and even a shop number on the flywheel as can be seen. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. I can load it for you. It measures approximately 16 inches long, 6.25 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall not counting the fill neck or mounting tabs. These tanks are ready to use and will certainly last a long time. We do recommend our Red Kote fuel/gas tank liner for coating the insides of the tanks prior to use. Magneto for hit miss engine. Magneto is in good condition and ready to use. 2 bolt mounting 3 7/8 center to center. Throws a nice blue spark. Nice original RARE part. This is a brand NEW Fairbanks Morse Horizontal Brass Data Tag copied from an original engine. TAG Has raised lettering and a raised border just like the originals. It is NOT a printed tag. I make these myself and take great pride and care to make sure this copy has the look and the feel of the original. Happy to say that this tag was made right here in the U. Made from 0.032 thick sheet brass. I use a process very similar to the way the original tags were made. You will be hard pressed to tell the difference in my tags and an original. Mounting holes are not drilled but they are clearly marked by my process of manufacture. Depth of raised lettering and border is consistent with originals. This brass tag has mounting holes with center to center distances of. HORIZONTAL = 5.00. VERTICAL = 3.00. Old Fairbanks Morse Compressor Engine for starting Large Hit Miss Engines – very rare. These engines were used to force compressed air into a very large engine to turn the engine over and get it started. Original cast iron base, all in one compressor unit. When I found it the compressor had been taking off, set aside and the engine was painted and being shown by itself. Rare Fairbanks engine with 1 Solid flywheel the mates directly to compressor. Engine has Good compression, hasn’t run in years will need some tinkering / fixin – should be a good runner. AB33 Bosch Magneto – missing cover, will most likely need a tune up. Compressor has some repairs, they are done very well, you won’t see them when restored its going to need some tinkering also, but I believe it is mostly complete except for piping. The piston is stuck on the compressor from sitting. We can deliver the Engine up to 300 Miles with compensation. PLEASE WATCH VIDEO BELOW. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS.
