This is a rather hard to find original Fairbanks Morse Type R rotary magneto for an old gas engine. These were commonly used on some of the Fairbanks Morse Type Z engines and could be use on others. It is for engines with spark plug ignition and not an ignitor. The magneto mounts with two holes 3 7/8 inches apart on center. It is clockwise rotation and turns over nicely with almost no noticeable wear in the bearings. I checked it just before I took the pictures and it puts out a nice, hot, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly. The leadout seems to be in great shape. It could probably used a new spark plug wire. These Type R magnetos are getting more difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! It would also make a great spare on the shelf. Let the pictures be your guide. This is a VERY nice old 2hp Fairbanks Morse Model T vertical hit and miss gas engine. It is from an old collection where it lived for many years. It was last shown about 8 years ago when it ran great and performed as it should. It sits on what I feel are original skids and has the original gas tank under them. The engine is in great shape and was gone through by a previous owner. Everything seems to be in excellent condition and there are no cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere that I can see or know of. It has excellent compression and very little wear anywhere on it. It is serial number 72, xxx and the numbers on the head and the cylinder match. All I can figure this engine needs to run is some fresh gas, a battery and coil, and possibly your favorite cold beverage! Although I haven’t tried to run it, a previous owner ran it several years ago and it ran great. It has a homemade cooling tank on it and would benefit from the addition of a period proper cooling tank. This is a great engine to add to your early hit and miss gas engine display or early Fairbanks Morse collection. The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way! Here is a very nice 14 bolt on clutch pulley for a 6hp Fairbanks Morse 6hp Z. This clutch is in great shape and ready to use. It appears to have some old belt dressing on the face of it. I think this add character but it would be easy to take it off if you didn’t want it on there. Take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. Fits a 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z. No cracks, breaks, or welds. 14″ diameter, 5-7/8 ” wide belt surface. Bolts onto the flywheel with 3 bolts. The mounting bolts are about 7-3/8 apart on center from each other. It slips over approximately a 2-1/4″ crankshaft, the hole in the pulley is about 2-5/16″. If your crankshaft would happen to be larger the pulley would need bored out. I think this will also fit a 3hp FM Z but you would need a bushing for the crankshaft. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back. For sale are castings for the Fairbanks Morse Eclipse Engine. It is from Keeley Engine Works. These are 1/2 Scale castings. The flywheels measure 7.5 in diameter. Total weight of the castings is approx 35lbs. There are bunches of drawings and photos that are included. You are getting exactly what is pictured. I’m not sure if it is complete or not, I was told that it is. He was a mechanical engineer. He was described as highly intelligent and a perfectionist.
