Fuller & Johnson 7hp model K kerosene throttle governed engine. Stewart of Blabon North Dakota. New rings, top two grooves re-machined with spacers installed, new wrist pin and busing, rod journal reground with new babbitt bearing. Head received a new exh guide and valve, the throttle body was completely rebuilt with new bushings and shafts. Governor was completely rebuilt with a new spindle, pins and thrust rod. The governor and crank gears are new. Fuel tank is new using original fittings and the often missing factory fuel check is still in place. Ignitor was completely rebuilt with a new shaft, points, mica and springs. Ignitor trip has a new trip finger, rocker arm received a new oversized pin. The flywheels run true and the faces are smooth. There is no frost damage to either the head or water jacket. I left the rusty patina wherever possible, being a North Dakota engine the rust is not deep. There are two repairs to this engine. One is a very old braze to the rocker arm which was very nicely done. Second is to the governor dash pot which was cracked and I repaired this so it does not leak. All this sits on a pair of skids copied from an original set, this was always a skidded engine. Included in the sale but not shown an original factory plain pulley that can be bolted on either flywheel. This engine starts quite easy for its size and runs fantastic, nice and steady at 275 rpm all day long. It is complete save for the crank and gear guards which are missing. Ignition is by battery and coil which are not included in this sale. It can be fully crated for cost of materials. See a video of this item. Width 35″, length, 65″. Old battery box not original to engine, but looks good. Ex father in laws’ dads engine, I know the history since the early 30′s. Fuller & Johnson 1 1/2hp model N. True hit and miss engine with sliding weight in the flywheel. Serial number 65803 which is late 1918 manufacture. Engine has good compression, flywheels run true, all babbitt is in great shape with lots of shims left. Not all worn out and sloppy, castings and machined surfaces are not pitted or rough. Has original pulley and tag. Muffler is a cast iron repro, I installed a new intake valve spring. Fuel tank is original, it is dented but solid and does not leak. This engine is easy to start and runs excellent! There is only one repair that I could find, the rocker arm has been welded in the past. It was nicely done and is hard to notice even without paint. The paint job, while fairly close to being the right color, is peeling horribly. Light surface rust has formed where the paint has fallen off. New paint would really make this a great engine. Cylinder oiler and battery/coil for ignition are not included. I will put this on a pallet and drop off at Fastenal for free. I will bring it to any show I attend in North Carolina. This listing is for a “Dandie Mixer” portable concrete mixer that is powered by an early 3 HP Fuller & Johnson single cylinder hit & miss gasoline engine that has an open connecting rod and crankshaft. This interesting mixer is mounted on a 4 wheel trailer that has steel wheels mounted on fixed rear axle and a wagon type pivoting front axle. This unusual mixer looks to be in reasonably good original condition except for the rear engine access door that is bent a bit and will not close properly. When I get back up there again, I will try to get some better photos to update this listing. I will also jack this up out of the dirt and make sure the wheels are not very rusty. The Fuller & Johnson engine still turns over but has not been running for probably 40 years or more. I believe the original mixer is present and intact. Please notice that the original igniter is still intact and has not been replaced with a spark plug as is the case with so many engines of this vintage. Please also notice the galvanized sheet metal rectangular fuel tank and the old style ignition coil. I can find no freeze cracks or welds anywhere on the cylinder head or the water hopper. Neither the original rocker arm nor it’s support have ever been broken or welded. Please also notice the hand wheel operated clutch on the left side of this machine as well. Please notice the original muffler on the outer rear corner of this machine. I can imagine how much fun this mixer would be to operate at and engine show. If you like early hit & miss gasoline engines and would like some very interesting piece of machinery to run with it, you might do well to give some very serious consideration to purchasing this very unusual and interesting machine. One could even fix up this machine and use it as a tumbler to clean up corroded metal parts. Dozens of different forms of media are available for deburring and cleaning parts so this machine could be used for such a task. I have a lot of friends that travel throughout the country this time of year. One of them might be able to safely and economically deliver this treasure to you depending on where you live and how soon you need it. I may be adding more information soon.
