My late son’s estate included a number of hit and miss engines. This one is a Hercules 7 HP. The brass plate says H. I have no idea why it has an E after the 7. Have been to engine shows with my son and watched this engine run. It is not a patched up mess that is worn out and having repairs. It is not cracked or welded on and nothing is broken that I can detect. The brass plate says the RPM is 375 and serial number is 155177. I assume with that number the date of manufacture can be checked. As this is a large engine I do not wish to try and crate it. It’ll have to be picked up here in Walla Walla WA. This is a rather hard to find original Webster magneto trip bracket for a 2 1/2-14hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It has no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It mounts on a 3/4 inch square push rod and everything is in great shape and ready to use. Please do your homework to be sure it works for your application. The ramp has a bit of wear on it and could easily be replaced if you so choose but it should work the way it is. The pictures tell the story. These original Webster magneto trip brackets are quite tough to find so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one.
