This is a brand NEW IHC INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CORPORATION tag copied from an original 1-1/2HP “M” engine. THIS IS AN ETCHED TAG AND HAS DEPTH. IT IS NOT A PRINTED TAG. I make these tags myself and take great pride and care to make sure this tag has the look and the feel of an original. Happy to say that this tag was made right here in the U. Made from 0.032 thick sheet brass. I use a process very similar to the way the original tags were made. You will be hard pressed to tell the difference in my tags and an original. This tag is ready to stamp with your engines’ specific information. Mounting holes are not drilled but they are clearly marked by the etching process. Depth of etch for this particular tag = 0.005. (Typically original tags were etched to 0.004″ – 0.005″). This tag will fit engines with mounting holes center to center distance = 3.125. (Please measure your engines’ mounting hole spacing to ensure that this tag will fit your engine). Item in the pictures is what you will receive. Your tag should arrive to your door in 3 or 4 days. Nice older restoration 1hp IHC Famous hit and miss gas engine. This is the smallest in the IHC Famous lineup. Excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than the main bearing cap on the governor side. This could easily be ground to match the other side. Good gearing and bearings and decent compression. It has the original and correct belt pulley on it. Early engine with the bronze rod. Muffler is rusted and not correct. This was a running engine not long ago so it should take little more than some fresh gas and a battery/coil to make noise. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. Here is a nice looking IHC R magneto. It produces a very nice spark and has no noticeable amount of wear. It is missing its original name tag of magnet band. That will not effect the operation of mag and they are easy to get as reproductions if you want one. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. 3/8 shaft for gear mounting. The mounting holes have perfect threads. No wear can be felt. I think this mag is ready to start and run your engine. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a great magneto. If you have any questions about how to use it on your engine please ask. Don’t be a clown and tear it all apart and then try to return it when you can’t get it to work. Thanks for looking at this listing! Very nice older restoration 1906 (first year) IHC 2hp vertical tank cooled Famous engine. Engine was shown a few years ago and restored several years ago. Everything seems to have been gone through and refreshed as needed. Valves/guides, pins, ignitor, etc. Everything is nice and tight as it should be and engine turns over nicely with great compression. It has most of its original plumbing on it as can be seen. Everything moves as it should and it shouldn’t take much to make noise. It has a decent homemade cooling tank on it with the fittings from the original tank. It is on a nice, heavy cart with oak rails. It has an old repair on the cylinder and head as most vertical IHC’s do but it doesn’t leak. It also has one repaired tooth on the cam gear but it was done very well and has run many hours without issue. It would make a very good show engine and has the original pulley and correct muffler on it. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Portland, IN, Coolspring PA, or Baraboo, WI, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for.
