1 HP IHC Mogul. This engine is complete. The throttle rod has an old weld on it at the bend, works perfectly. No other cracks breaks or welds that I know of. It runs on a coil and battery flawlessly, the Mag has a charge and will run a light but it currently isn’t timed correctly so it doesn’t run off of the Mag. Here is a video of it running. Please note that this is a engine from the early 1900′s. I do not know of any breaks or welds or cracks in it. However, I have not taken the engine to bare metal, so I can only go from looks. It runs good on a coil and battery. This is for pick-up only. If some other way of transportation is sought, please contact me for details. 1 HP IHC Famous hopper cooled engine. No cracks breaks or welds that I know of. This engine is complete. Has a coil, hopper cover, muffler, crank guard, cart and pulley. I ran this engine this weekend at a show, it is show ready in my opinion. It ran for over 5 hours perfectly. Here are two videos of it running. Please note that this is a engine from the early 1900′s. I do not know of any breaks or welds or cracks in it. However, I have not taken the engine to bare metal, so I can only go from looks. It runs good, comes with a coil and brand new battery. This is for pick-up only. If some other way of transportation is sought, please contact me for details. Here is a pretty nice old International Harvester 6hp Type M gas engine. It is a throttle governed engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in excellent shape for it’s age and has super compression. The Wico EK magneto is very hot and the engine runs good by putting gas in the mixer bowl. I’m sure it would run on gas from the tank but haven’t tried it. The flywheels run true. There is very little wear on the gearing or the main bearings or anywhere else on the engine. It has a very well done braze repair on the had that could easily be ground down and it has a break on the throttle shaft which I have pointed out. It functions fine like this or it could easily be replaced or repaired. There are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere on it that I can see or know of. It has the original serial tag on it. These 6hp M’s are real workhorses if you’d like to run a grinder, sheller, or other piece of equipment. It would be a fine addition to your hit and miss engine collection or International Harvester lineup. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. Here is a pretty nice old International Harvester 4hp Famous hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in good shape for it’s age but does have some common minor issues that Famous engines usually have. It has a repair on the bottom of the head and on the exhaust flange that could be dressed down and look good. There is a braze on the fuel pump link that could also be hidden. There is a hole in the top of the hopper which doesn’t affect anything but is there and needs to be pointed out. The cam gear has some cracks in it (none on the diameter) but is still tight on the cam shaft and has run like this for many years. The engine turns over nicely with great compression and everything seems to move and function as it should. The flywheels run true and the engines runs on gas in the bowl of the mixer. There is very little wear on the gearing or the main bearings. It is an earlier engine with the IHC name cast in the side of the hopper. It has the original belt pulley and serial tag on it. It sits on some nice oak skids that are about the right length to add the seat/battery box correct for the Famous engines. It’s not a perfect engine but could be perfect with just a little elbow grease and a few additions. It would be a fine addition to your hit and miss engine collection or International Harvester Famous lineup. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
