A vintage Maytag twin cylinder engine. I believe this would have been an add-on for a wringer washing machine. Would have been started by foot. This does turn over freely with some compression, but has not been tested and is offered as-is. No broken fins, only damage I notice is to one spark plug. Great vintage Maytag Hit & Miss twin engine in nice vintage condition. Has been stored well and kept in nice original condition. Paint is all original! When we pulled it out to start it up, there wasn’t a strong spark so we put in new plugs and condenser and now it fires up first kick every time! On nice wood stand. This is a pretty nice original Maytag Model 92 air cooled hit and miss gas engine. It was original used on a Maytag wash machine. It is in great original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It turns over nicely with good compression and has very good spark. I haven’t tried to run it but see no reason that it won’t run. It has the v-belt pulley on it and should be ready to work! It would be a great addition to your air cooled engine or Maytag collection! I can deliver for free to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. What we have here very nice twin maytag that runs good this is an original motor witg some original paint left on it this is an early model 72 made between December of 37 or January of 38 from what I found only thing I have done is changed plug wires and cleaned flywheel starts good these are hard to find in there original work cloths any questions please ask. When we set up to go to the show we are always thinking of something that we can hook to our engines so it will be turning something and make it extra special to look at. When tuned, these engines start easy and run great, but because of their design they smoke really well. Especially if tuned a little rich. Sometimes people tend to turn up their noses from all the smoke these great engines produce. So why not take advantage of what these engines do best and give them a reason to stay up wind and watch it run. People will tell others to go over and look at that muffler on that Maytag. I have numbered the different ones that I have. Message me if there is a particular color that you would like to have. These are made of cast iron and nicely detailed. They have small holes on each corner of the mouth and big smoking nostrils. It is painted with hi temp. Engine enamel and It will fit any of the 3 base type design of the 92 engines.
