Here is a piece that is about impossible to find if you need it. This is a mixer for a McVicker’s Automatic hit and miss gas engine. Probably for a 6 HP – 2nd generation engine, but may fit others as well. The main body of the carb is in great shape. Nothing broken or repaired. The choke valve has a replacement handle on it as the original was broken off. The needle valve and plug in the top is missing and will need to be made. But the hard part is there and in good shape. Here is a very rare magneto / igniter setup for a Simplicity Gas Engine. This is an early bracket with the highly sought after and rare Podlesak magneto. Or even if you just need a mag, you won’t find them much nicer in barn fresh condition than this. I’ve looked the mag & igniter over and they seem to be in nice original condition. I don’t see anything broken and there are no welds or repairs. The igniter and mag both look nice and greasy & they rotate smoothly. Neither are stuck nor are the worn out. The shafts feel nice and snug. I hooked a meter up to the mag and flipped it with a screwdriver & it moved the needle back and forth. So the coils should be good. It might need a recharge on the magnets, but I think it should work without much more than a good cleanup & lubrication. This is a really nice outfit & I would be very excited to find this if I needed it for my Simplicity engine. 2 7/8 center to center on the mounting holes. Here is a very rare piece! This J112 igniter bracket and Webster magneto fits a large Armstrong gas engine. You see few mag brackets around now and then, but you rarely see anything for an Armstrong. The Webster is the large size like you see on the bigger engines. I’ve kept this mag on the shelf for years as part of our collection, but I figured if anyone needed it for an Armstrong engine, it just as well go back in service. It is greasy and dirty, but I think everything on it is complete and seems to be in good shape. The mag is missing one screw, but that’s the only thing I can see gone. It even has the original starting trip lever. The Mag & igniter both move freely and I don’t see anything broken or repaired on either. The points look good and it even has the original terminal clip on the igniter and the original name band on the mag. These brackets are hard to find and this one is in good condition for being 100+ years old. Don’t miss it if you need one. Please check out my other engine parts auctions. DeLaval alpha 2 engine from a cream separator I think… Similar to Stover dv2 I believe. All complete turns over fine, I had it kick over on ether. No cooling system or tank. Fittings for the tank are present. I should have the original mounting plate for it that holds the engine , tank and pump. Crank handle present, as well as fuel tank. Here is a very rare magneto for an IHC Mogul gas engine. These brass Accurate mags are hard to find. This is about the only spare we’ve had in many years of collecting. This mag fits the 1 HP, 1 3/4 HP, & 2 1/2 HP Moguls as well as some other early IHC engines. This mag has the original gear, but it is missing one tooth. You may be able to braze a tooth back in well enough to use it. It would certainly be easier than making a whole new gear! The mag is stuck and will need some attention before it’s used again, but the base and magnets look good and it should make a good mag.
