This solid brass mechanical lubricator is way cooler than your normal boring greasy steel ratchet lubricator you see on every old piece of machinery. This large lubricator is over 22 pounds of solid brass! The lubricator has an ugly dull patina now but buffed out this thing would look incredible! The body of the lubricator measures 9 1/2 inches long, 5 inches tall and 5 inches wide with 6 glass sight glasses on the top. One of the 1 inch outside diameter sight glasses and its brass top is unfortunately missing however the right size glass is available and the brass top would be really simple to make for anyone with a small lathe. Inside the top cap looks very clean and all six drip adjustment knobs are intact and turn smoothly. The mechanical drive comes in through the back where there are 4 intact mounting studs. The drive turns smoothly. On the bottom there are 5 intact brass elbows. The front sight glass is cracked but overall this is in really nice condition and much better shape than most lubricators you are likely to find. The brass surface is in very nice condition with minimal dings, scratches, or contact marks. The top is clearly marked. McCord & Co Chicago. This lubricator would look fantastic on any old gas, steam, marine engine, early tractor or even an early automobile. If you have any questions please contact me.
