1913 Fairbanks Morse Jack Junior; serial # 128965 This is the headless engine rated at 1 hp. It is complete and original not rebuilt comes with correct carburetor, muffler, FM hand-crank, Enduro low voltage coil, brass grease cups/oiler, and mounted on a cart with steel wheels This engine was a show engine, put away in dry storage, it turns over, has compression, good bearings last run 20 years ago, needs battery. I have owned this engine for 30 years. The Jack Junior 1 hp. Is one of the smaller Fairbanks engines, it is a true Hit and Miss governed engine, that has a flyweight that latches the exhaust valve open to govern the speed. It has no spark plug, it uses a simple low voltage igniter that is like a set of points inside the head. The Enduro coil/battery energizes the igniter which when snapped open produce the spark. This 105 year old engine is in remarkably good original condition and is rare because it is headless, has an igniter-low voltage, and is hit and miss.
