This old engine needs to be restored, everything appears to be there, look at the pictures closely, I have tried to show all aspects front and back and top, this was taken out of a house in Harwinton, Conn. Years ago, I believe it was used to pump the water for this old historic house. Whoever buys this will have to pick it up!! Appears to be a Hercules, Model, JK, but I can not find where it states that for sure, not many of these left in one piece. Vintage Machinist Made Toy Steam Engine. This is a larger sized toy engine with a very unusual design. There is a lot of copper that was used in this with what appears to be a brass flywheel, piston and valve body. The screws on the top of the valve and piston body are safety wired together. It has an interesting cam to operate the valve. Mounted on a large wood base. This piece is very heavy for it’s size. The wooden base measures 8 7/8″ x 6/18″. The base plate of the motor is 3 15/16″ x 6″ x 5 5/8 high. The flywheel measures 1 3/4. We gave it compressed air and it does run. Check out the photos. For sale is a spectacular live steam engine. The maker is unknown but it seems to be very heavy duty and good quality. It weighs 28lbs and is mostly iron. It measures it measures 14″ long and 11″ tall. All parts seem to move freely as they should. Look at the last photo one of the cylinders split at the base. It seems to have good compression still but it may need replaced at some point. It will definitely clean up a lot from the pictures. Please contact me with any questions. Fly wheel turns and sounds like it has good compression. The spring that goes to the foot pedal is not hooked up but should be no problem.
