This is a pretty decent original webster l low tension magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It has several applications in the gas engine world. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except the one ear on the leadout cover is chipped. This will not affect it’s performance and it could easily be replaced. It mounts with four holes on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and the threads are in great shape. Everything moves as it should but the armature seems a bit lazy in a couple spots even though there doesn’t seem to be much wear in the bearings. I’m sure with a little attention or new bushings this would be a real nice magneto. It has good blue spark and there is little wear on the trip finger. It could used a little cleaning and a new leadout wire but that’s the fun part. It also needs a few screws in the end caps. It has new springs and a couple new rollers on it already. With just a little elbow grease it should be ready to go to work on an engine or would also be a good spare on the shelf. These larger websters are quite a bit tougher to find than the k model and will work in its place if you want a hotter spark for your engine. The igniter base is marked. The webster magneto is missing the magnet loops and side caps but the brass base and rocker arms are good with no issues. The waterloo igniter is very complete and has no missing or broken parts. This will be a very good unit to rebuild. This is a nice original igniter. For your waterloo engine!
