HOT WICO EK MAGNETO for Hit Miss Gas Engine. Produced a HOT spark when bench tested. Has a brass band and zinc case painted black. No mounting studs included. I apologize for any inconvenience. This is an original unknown (to me) ignitor for an old hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It mounts with two holes 2.5 inches apart on center. This ignitor may fit several sizes or models of engines. If you know for sure please educate me! The points look to be in good shape. Everything seems to move and function as it should and with just a little work to add some trip parts it should be ready to go to work in an engine. But it seems to be in good shape with a blue color of paint on it. It’s about 5-7/8 on center between the mounting tabs out the side. This is an original early brass ignitor for an old hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It mounts with two holes 3 inches apart on center. The slug that goes into the engine is about 2 in diameter. Judging by the orientation of the primer hole and trip finger it I think it is for a vertical engine. This ignitor may fit several sizes or models of engines. If you know for sure please educate me! The points could use renewal and it needs a pinch bolt in the clamp. Everything seems to move and function as it should and with just a little work it should be ready to go to work in an engine. If you’ve been looking for a brass ignitor like this don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up! Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it.

Here is a (mostly) complete mag, bracket and ignitor set up for a Waterloo Boy hit and miss engine. I only say mostly because I didn’t take it off and there may be some small parts missing. As you can see the tag says it is off a 5 HP Waterloo Bot. I (ASSUME) from a model H. It may or may not fit other sizes and models. The tag also says it was taken off 11/8/1969 55 YEARS ago. This came from a complete clean out that I did in the state of Maine. The was NOT a waterloo boy there so I assume it was removed for some service and then the engine left somewhere along the line. I have NOT tested this set up, everything looks good, but it is untested, and I cannot say if it will require anything before using it or not. The bolt hole spacing is Approx.

This is the igniter that most 1-1/2hp, 3hp, and 6hp John Deere E hit and miss engines use. It seems to be in great shape but is missing a little spring. Its also missing the bolt for the anvil. This is an original exhaust valve cage with valve for a Tom Thumb air cooled hit and miss engine made by International Harvester Company. It will need some attention to the valve, seat, and threads but with some effort it should be a usable piece. It is part number G6532 and has no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of.
