Wade drag saw made in Portland Oregon about 1920′s. THERE IS NO BLADE. This is a two stroke engine similar to the inboard boat engines of the day. Please examine all the pictures closely on a full screen. Note the water jacket repairs, someone let it freeze up. The saw guide has been brazed. The engine turns freely, has the original Lunkenheimer carburetor and wood. The wood will all need to be re-made, but is still intact so you can copy it. The locking wheel rim will need to be re-made as well. The spark ignition has broken/missing parts and needs repairing or replacing. I cannot see the bottom side of the tanks to see if they are rusted through, but would assume they may be. The log spikes are missing for the handles. The mixing valve needle is missing. There may be more missing, or broken, I do not know. Neither Dad nor I ever got around to this one, Dad has long gone to his eternal home, and time for me for this is running out as well. Time for me to move on in life now. Could you take this on now as a project? It been sitting here in the shed probably 50 years now and needs a new home. Maybe you could put it in your shed now, and maybe you will take a liking to restore it? I WILL ASSIST IN LOADING (OPEN TRUCK OR TRAILER ONLY). Up for sale is a very nice restored Maytag Model 92, Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial # 397019 stamped on it so it was in production Oct – Dec 1929. Painted with original Maytag green automotive paint. The skids you see under my motors go with the engine. I have been restoring these engines for over 10 years. I also restore Maytag wringer washers and put Maytag motor’s on them as well. This engine was completely taken apart and SAND blasted BEAD blasted cleaned and painted the original Maytag green paint. I take a lot of pride in these motors as you can see and I like to do a little extra detailing such as the lettering and the numbers as you can see in the pictures. I think it makes the motor’s stand out better. Lot of guys likes to copy my work so I have a trade mark that I can only tell that it is one that I had done. As you can see this engine is complete and not missing any parts such as the kill switch, pulley and tear drop. It has new rings, condenser and spark plug and plug wire with new ends. I also honed out the Cylinder jug and carburetor is completely rebuilt with all new parts. I do not paint the flywheels like some people I just polish them up nice. After putting it all back together I ran two tanks of fuel through it and it runs just fine. I like to run my engines that much so I know it will run great and help seat the rings in a little for you. All my carburetor’s get rebuilt with all new and correct parts. Then I put on a set of real nice WATER TRANSFER DECAL that I had made and sell. NOT those NASTY sticky fly by night cheap decals. The coil is good and has hot nice spark. I have a lot of people will send me a motor to restore for them as well. All it needs now is fuel and you can start it with your hand, it is that easy to start. Bolsters are cast iron of universal design, adaptable to your application. Fully machined and painted, ready for use. Axle u-bolts and mounting hardware included. Wheels are machine bored, rather than a rough cast cored hole, and then the outer rim of the wheel is machined flat and smooth as opposed to tapered rough cast. Handle mounting brackets clamp onto turning axle making handle mounting and removing easy. Instructions include with set. 8″ diameter by 2″ wide, 1-1/6″ bore for ¾” pipe axle. Steering Bolster – 5″ diameter base, 6-1/2″ wide axle mount saddle, two 7/16″ mounting bolts 3-3/4″ apart. Solid bolsters – 3″ tall, 4-1/2″ long mounting base, 1-1/2 thick. 3-1/2″ long, 2″ wide, 1″ thick, ½” x 1 post. Maximum recommended engine weight is 500 pounds. The only parts needed to complete the cart are common 3/4 pipe for the axles, engine mounting rails, front bolster mounting plate, a handle and nuts and bolts. These are about 70% larger than the small set. These cast iron bolsters take a lot of the work and all of the welding out of making a cart for your engine. One pair of stationary and a pivoting bolster with axle mounting hardware designed to work with axles 1 5/16 to 2 in diameter recommended for use on engines 4hp and up. A lot of you have bought wheels in the past with the idea of actually using them one day, well dig them out and dust them off (or leave the dust on) now is your chance to put them back to work even if they take different size axles, due to the design you can run any combination of 1 5/16 to 2diameter axles between the front and rear. Bolsters are 5 1/2 tall and the width spacing between the mounting holes on the pivoting bolster base is 9 ¾. Finished height of cart will vary depending on the diameter of the wheels used. Cast iron will give an antique look many prefer over fabricated strap steel and help your engine really stand out at the next show. Can of root beer for size comparison, not included.
