Bracket fits a variety of the associated and United engines, please measure your engine and research before purchasing!! Gear looks good and spins nicely. The mount spacing that mounts to the side of your engine measures 1 3/4 on centers. The magneto mount spacing is 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ on centers. No breaks or repairs however there is a little bit of a casting flaw on the lower mounting hole area, (less material then usual). I don’t see it being a issue but please use your own judgement. For your consideration is an original Associated or United 1-1/2hp Johnny Boy Water cooler or Busy Boy air cooled cylinder Head for a Hit Miss Stationary Engine. This has brand new valves included with it. There is 1 new valve spring retainer included that still needs machined, the used one needs the center enlarged as it appears to have had larger valve stems installed. The raised part of BFB head for the cylinder bore appears to be 3-5/8″, the bolt pattern appears to be 4-1/2″ on center. The rocker stand has been repaired as can be seen in the pics. It’s been painted silver. The exhaust threads appears to be good. Nice vintage hit & miss engine piston and rod. Estate find of a large hit & miss collection so I do not know which engine it is correct for so consider pictures and measurements to determine if it is right for you. Connecting rod – ABY. Piston is 4 in diameter. Message from a collector (not confirmed by me but maybe helpful). The connecting rod fits both 1 3/4 HP and 2 1/4 HP Associated gas engines, in both the water cooled version and the air cooled version. If the piston has the letters ABW on it, then this combo is for a 1 3/4 HP engine. If the piston has the letters AKY, then the combo is for a 2 1/4 HP engine. I’m not certain, but I think the 1 3/4 HP would use a 3 3/4″ diameter piston and the 2 1/4 HP would use a 4″ diameter piston.

This is a very hard to find original intake valve latch for an Associated hit and miss gas engine. It is part number BFP and is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts to a 1 tall pushrod and is about 7 1/8 inches long overall. It is about 4 7/8 from the inside of the clamp to the inside of the fork. It is likely for a 6 or 8hp engine so please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. This part is ready to be used on an engine with no extra attention. If you need one to add to your engine or to replace your broken or repaired one here is a great opportunity. Here is a nice original head for an Associated Chore Boy or United equivalent engine. Please check the measurements to make sure it is what you need. The valve heads and seats look great. The valves also feel good in their guides and only very minimal wear can be felt. For questions 419 789 1159. Very hard part to find. The mounting hole pattern is 4-7/8″ x 4-7/8″ measured across from each other. The carb mounts with 2 holes about 2-1/8 apart on center. 1 pipe for exhaust. No cracks, breaks, or welds that I can see or know of. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for.
