Pulley part # E700. 3 1/4 apart on center 4 bolt mounting – missing 1 mounting bolt. 3 1/4 apart on center 4 hole mounting on bottom of the base. This is a very hard to find original brass ball type oil receiver that was mostly used to catch oil from a stationary oiler as it was connected to the crank pin on a large stationary steam engine. Sometimes they were called lollipop oilers. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and has 3/4npt female threads. It has a few minor dings and wear from its years of service but it also has great original patina! It would be a great addition to your large stationary engine display or oiler collection! These unusual oiling devices are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets. When I found this governor at an antique store, there was no detail as to what type, model, size, or any other significant details about it other than it being a “steam engine governor”. So do not know if this would actually be a working piece. There is a marking “JE4″ just below the small copper bowl on the horizontal shaft. Have tried to find the exact one online but have had no luck. It appears to be in excellent condition (no rust) & has been well taken care of. The belt wheel does turn freely rotating the two vertical fly balls. It is a beautiful piece of history and decided to make as a display piece via the steampunk lighting add-ons. The board it’s mounted on is 24″ L X 7 1/4″ W. Height to top of the valve handle is 19. As shown, weighs just over 30 lbs. If bought as is, the valve handle, wire bulb cage & vintage Edison LED 40 watt bulb will be removed and packed separately. This is a very hard to find small Kingston brass 5 ball carburetor for an early motorcycle, stationary or marine engine, or tractor. It is in as found condition from an old farm estate. It has 1 inch npt pipe threads with a 3/4 inch bushing in it. The throttle shaft has some slight wear. The fuel needle moves as it should. It is missing the lower bowl and some other parts but the casting and hard parts are there! I think with some patience or a few contacts the missing pieces should be findable. There are some wrench marks on the mounting collar that could be massaged out or at least reduced a bit with a little effort. The original name tag is on it and appears to be upside down from the factory. These original brass Kingston 5 ball carburetors are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a pretty nice one.
