Shaft for a total length of 51 inches. This band saw blade sharpener will sharpen bands up to eight (8) inches wide. This very early machine is flat belt drive (no motor). Estimate grinding wheel up to ten (10) inch. This company is still in business and I have tried to contact them regarding date. Of manufacture and machine weight, but no response. I have no way to weigh this machine but would guess it to be in the area of 500 pounds. I would guess that this machine is over 60 years old. I have had it in storage for 30+ years.
