Original Wico Magneto Original Crank (Rust included) Extra Spark Plug (The good rebuild-able kind) Champion I bought this engine 20+ years ago in Orange County CA, I no longer have time or energy to do the proper restoration – Mounted on 2 steel rails and wood with winch attachment, chain, gears, and cable – Winch has a clutch, Brake and Locking Ratchet – I took the magneto off to have the magnets re-energized, It Did run 20 years ago – still has GREAT Compression and turns freely ASK QUESTIONS Please.. Vintage Hit Miss Model Engine Kerosene? Seems not heavy enough to be hit miss but I listed it as so people interested in small engines could find it. Some people that have seen it think it may be for kerosene / water fuel. May be from a kit or maybe just a combination of parts as an experiment. It is very old and no attempt has been made to restore it. The flywheel is 8 1/8″ diameter, the base is 9 1/4 X 16 1/4″ It stands 9 3/4 tall and weighs 9 1/2 Lbs. This is a super conversation piece and would look great in a museum or collection setting just as it is. If you have any input with information on this engine please let me know. I have thoroughly looked the engine over and there are NO cracks, breaks or welds. Very unworn, zero slop in the detent, cam gear has no back and forth movement, no endplay in the crank at all… Flywheels run perfectly true. Intake valve has some crud behind it, just needs to be popped a few times or maybe lapped in, easy to take the valve chest off and do that. The freeze plugs are both out, just needs new ones installed before you put water in the hopper. NO water jacket cracks. Original tin crank guard. Original nameplate, battery box, and nice large correct pulley. Could use a shim added to the rod cap, the engine would coast longer, its a little tight how they have it. This was taken out of a barn down south in the 1970′s I believe, and I’m quite sure this engine hadn’t ran in 50+ years until today. If your in the market for a large Monitor, this is as nice of an untouched engine as you could ask for. Original skids and gas tank, which doesn’t leak! Feel free to ask questions. I can also deliver this engine to Portland, IN in May or August as well as Coolspring, PA show in June, or Baraboo, WI swap meet coming up soon. Hit and miss gas engine. Made in Waterloo IA. Appears to be all complete. Maybe had a bracket for the pull start? Has original cord and recoil spring. No cracks that I can see. Turns over with good compression. Has original brass oval ID tag. When I got it the spark plug was broken so a put one on from my collection.
