This is a real nice original wood battery box for a Waterloo hit and miss gas engine. It is in great vintage condition and measures about 7 x 10 1/2 inches plus the top and is about 8 1/2 inches tall including the top. It has nice, finger jointed corners and retains a bit of its original paint as can be seen. It has the original Waterloo style hinges on it and has a great original look to it that would certainly compliment a nice original Waterloo engine! This is the box that it shows on the smaller engines in the original sales catalogs. It has some wear minor missing wood as can be seen but just enough to give it original character! It would look and work good with other engines, too, but it came with a Waterloo engine from the factory. These original battery boxes are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one.
