Description: Here is a nice rebuilt crankcase for a model 72. Complete with new bearings. New bearings installed in the block and line bored. Please note this listing does not include the crankshaft. NOTE: These are original and rebuilt parts not everything is going to look exactly like the picture every time. The blocks will have some imperfections. These are 100 year old parts that we are saving from going into the junk pile. If you get something you don’t like, please let us know and we will make it right. Rest assured we are not going to sell anything that we wouldn’t use in our own engine. Bearings are brand new. I think this is something used to make a printers block. It has a Charter engine on it. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. John Deere 3 HP Engine Block. There are no breaks or welds or repairs on the block anywhere, would be a good replacement block for an engine that has a crack or a repair that you dont like. The cylinder doesn’t look too bad, (the picture doesn’t make it look very good) its in pretty good shape, it has some minor surface rust, but I think a good hone and this would run fine, probably pretty darn good. Old 3hp JOHN DEERE E Hit Miss Gas Engine Cylinder Block Cam Gear Governor NICE

Very nice original 3hp John Deere E cylinder/crankcase along with cam gear, camshaft, governor, side cover, top cover, and other small parts. It is in great shape with no cracks breaks, or repair that I can see or know of other than a small cutout in the subbase under the cylinder and a hole in the top of the crankcase cover from an honest attempt at a breather. This should be easy enough to fill in. It has the original gas tank which is pretty solid but does have some rust holes in it. It has the bearing caps but is missing one bearing and the other is chipped. The bore looks good and has some surface rust and very minor pitting if anything. I think with some honing it would be quite usable! The governor cover has the original brass tag on it and is the earlier cover with all of the writing. This would be a very restorable engine with the addition of several parts or a good donor engine for your 3hp John Deere with a cracked water jacket! It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. I can be reached at 262 573 1931 if you’d like to talk about it. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it.
