Small belt driven brass gear pump. Only markings are the California on the end plate. Gears rotate when the pulley is turned. My dad polished, painted and had this on a static display probably since the late 1980′s. No idea what it came off of or if it originally had a gear to drive it. Overall length is just over 6. Mounting holes right at 2 1/4 on center. Water inlet main body thread holes are roughly 3/8. Outlet holes on end plate are smaller about 5/16. Not versed on how to correctly calculate pipe thread dimensions. From my dad’s collection and has been stored for in excess of 20 years possibly as many as 35. He probably hand polished brass it many years ago. I have a huge number of old gas engine items that I hope to be able to list this year. Bigger items are located in Fallon, Nevada. Here is a very nice magneto for a John Deere E hit and miss gas engine. It makes an excellent spark. It has perfectly tight bearings. It looks like the body and end plate has been replaced by a very nice aluminum reproduction Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. New Body and Bearing Plate! 3/8 shaft for gear mounting. The mounting holes have excellent threads. For questions 419 789 1159. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a nice magneto. If you have any questions about how to use it on your engine please ask. This is a rather hard to find original brass plunger type water pump body for an old marine engine or other type of engine. It is in good, used condition with wear consistent with age but nothing excessive. It needs a plunger as can be seen and the plunger would be around 1 diameter. The body of the pump mounts with two holes about 3 inches apart on center and has 1/4 npt threads in it. I believe this is for a marine engine as the mounting “shelf” is on an angle consistent with the mounting arrangement of many marine engines. If you need one for any reason this one should serve the purpose. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. These original brass water pumps are almost impossible to find in. The wild or even at swap meets so don’t miss your chance one this one. The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way. Here is a very nice small gear pump that can be used for a variety of old gas engines and other purposes. It would look really good mounting on a small tank cooled engine for moving cooling water. Magneto is in good condition and ready to use. Flip type with brass body. HOT – throws a nice blue spark. Bolt pattern 2″ x 2″ – threads all look good. Points cover is homemade.
