This is a real nice old 12 inch cast iron clutch pulley for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a 6 1/8 inch face and is 12 inches in diameter. It mounts to the crankshaft with a 2 inch bore. It could be bored at least to 2 1/4 and also could be bushed down. Everything works as it should and there is seemingly little wear. The wood blocks are in great shape. It has some ugly green paint on it that could be stripped off pretty easily. These original clutch pulleys are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it possible to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. This one is ready to be put to work on an engine or put into your inventory for a spare. The pictures tell the story. This is a real nice original cast iron pulley for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine or other piece of mahinery. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a 4 1/4 inch face and is 6 inches in diameter. It has a 1 1/2 inch bore and keyway to fit on the crankshaft of the engine or the driveshaft of the implement. The setscrew to tighten it down is stuck but I’m sure with some heat it would free up pretty easily. It has six spokes and has a great look to it. These original cast iron pulleys are next to impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it possible to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. Up for sale is a really super nice and rare circa 1890 Ames Iron Works stationary steam engine. The engine is rated at 10 horse power. It has a absolutely amazing 2 inch gardener governor. Nothing on the engine is stuck, seized or broken. The engine looks completely original and intact and unmolested! It has a nice large pulley (I believe its 2 foot diameter). It has a tag from General Machinery in Philadelphia which is most likely the place where it was originally installed. I can hold the engine for an extended period of time. To anyone that was wondering: The photos were taken when I had the engine at a local show. That’s the reason for all of the stuff noticeable in the background. Very nice side crank bottle steam engine , older restoration, runs very smooth nothing broken bent or repaired , except the governor looks a little repaired or pieced together it is a one of a kind, but works well, can’t remember where it came from. The engine has no name plate, plate holes or any id. But i think it is a james beggs engine or at least design.
