Nice original barn fresh IHC 8 feed grinder. Fresh from an old farm building where it lived in retirement for decades. In unmolested condition with quite a bit of original paint and decal. Has a few working scars but nothing that prevents it for working as it should. It needs a little straightening on the hopper but it is very solid and not rusted at the bottom. It stands about 43 inches tall, turns as it should and would grind feed as is. The engagement lever for the burrs is broken and missing but it should be fairly easy to repair or replace. No other cracks, breaks or repairs that I can see or know of other than a wood plug in the top of the hopper which won’t affect anything. The bearings seem to have little wear and I don’t think this mill has done much work. It’s tough to find original pieces like this anymore and would look nice belted to an original engine! I can deliver for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. Original Martin #4 Mill. In good original condition with original wood hopper on top of the cast iron. Turns as it should with little bearing wear. I had it apart and the burrs look to be in great shape. It needs a feed rate slide but this should be a pretty simple project. There is one chipped tooth on the adjustment handle but this shouldn’t affect anything and could easily be repaired if you so choose. Has original lettering on the hopper. This would be a great addition to your hit and miss engine display! The pictures tell the story. This is a really nice original Althouse Wheeler Windmill Company feed grinder or burr mill made in Waupun, Wisconsin. I know it was made or offered by them as I have one in my collection with their name inside the hopper. It is in excellent used condition with most of it’s original paint and striping! The bearings all seem to be in good shape. It turns over nicely and was used fairly recently by a previous owner who mentioned that it worked well. It stands about 41 inches tall. The hopper has been replaced with new wood but includes the original cast iron corners. There is a very well done weld repair on the shaker pan and it is missing one foot on the base. Neither of these affect its performance. There are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. This would be a great addition to your engine or tractor show display because people like seeing what these machines did! I can deliver for free to Coolspring, PA, or a few auctions later this year. Here’s an item that certainly doesn’t turn up very often! It is a Challeng #6 burr mill or feed grinder. It was made by the Challenge Company in Batavia, Illinois. It is in good mechanical condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of and everything seems to work as it should. I ran a handful of corn through it and it seems to grind nicely. It turns over smoothly with no noticeable wear in the bearings. It has a nice pulley on it to run it with your engine. This a nice smaller sized mill and stands about 34 inches tall. It has a reproduction steel hopper on it that seems like it was pretty well done. It would be a great addition to your early agricultural collection or display at the shows! The pictures tell the story. New Holland Mill Feed Grinder. Working condition, the pulley has a small chunk out of it. Which can be seen in pictures. Otherwise no broken parts. This is the smallest size grinder offered by New Holland and was made sometime around the turn of the century. All casting numbers are 6##. No broken or repaired castings except as mentioned above and seen in pictures of the pulley. It appears the wooden legs are original to this mill, as they retain their faint red color. There is a crack in one leg from use, and other old none original boards have been attached over the years to strengthen the base and all can be seen in pictures. Pulley, fly wheel, axel, auger, grinder and grind adjustment are all in working condition. The bell housing spring is installed and included (not seen in pictures). This is a real nice old Challenge #6 belt driven corn or feed grinder or grist mill. It is in excellent older restored condition and still displays rather nicely. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs on it that I can see or know of. It was made by the Challenge Company in Batavia, Illinois, the same company that made the famous windmills, and measures about 34 inches tall. Everything seems to work as it should and it has a new belt on it for the shaker pan. You can used the adjustment knobs to set how coarse of find you’d like to grind your corn. It has very ornate cast iron legs and also the curved spoke flywheel and is very appealing to the eye! There is very little wear in the bearings and I believe it’s ready to go to work. The hopper was fabricated when the mill was restored and a nice job was done on it! It would be a fine addition to your early machinery collection or display and would look great running it with a gas engine at the shows! The pictures tell the story. This is a real nice old Challenge #6 belt driven corn or feed grinder or grist mill. It is in excellent older restored condition and still displays rather nicely. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs on it that I can see or know of. It was made by the Challenge Company in Batavia, Illinois, the same company that made the famous windmills, and measures about 34 inches tall. Everything seems to work as it should and it has a new belt on it for the shaker pan. You can used the adjustment knobs to set how coarse of find you’d like to grind your corn. It has very ornate cast iron legs and also the curved spoke flywheel and is very appealing to the eye! There is very little wear in the bearings and I believe it’s ready to go to work. The hopper was fabricated when the mill was restored and a nice job was done on it! It would be a fine addition to your early machinery collection or display and would look great running it with a gas engine at the shows! The pictures tell the story. It’s tough to find them this nice as they’re usually all worn out. I can deliver this to Coolspring, PA, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or some other shows or auctions I attend later this year for free. Unique old grinders like this don’t turn up very often so don’t miss it.
