This is a really nice mostly original Briggs and Stratton FH air cooled gasoline engine. It is an earlier version with the bronze carburetor as can be seen. It’s in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It turns over as it should and has good spark and some compression but would benefit from a valve cleaning as it’s been sitting a while. According to a previous owner it was a running engine not long ago and I’m sure with some fresh gas and just a little effort it would run again although I haven’t tried it. Everything seems to function and interact as it should. It has the very scarce cast iron pulley on it as can be seen. This would be a fine addition to your early air cooled engine collection! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for.
