This is for an original, not restored, 1 1/2 model S Economy, Hercules hit and miss engine. All the paint and decals appear to be all the original. I clear coated the engine to preserve that. Engine has good compression, has a good Wico EK mag. Has not run in 2 years, should only take some cleaning of the check valve in the fuel line. It came off a Jeager cement mixer, so it has a sprocket instead of a belt pulley. I think I have the starting crank for the engine. Not sure about the gas tank. Includes the cart it is sitting on. This is a VERY hard to find and pretty decent original factory cart made by a jobber and used under many company’s hit and miss gas engines including Stover, StaRite and MANY others. It is the version with the 3 inch wide wheels. It is about the right size for a 4 to 5hp engine depending on size. It is in decent condition for its age. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs on it that I can see or know of. Three of the four wheels do not turn on the axle but it shouldn’t take but a little heat and some patience to free them up as there is clearance between the bore and the axles. The cast iron wheels are 9 and 14 inches in diameter with 3 inch faces. The upper bolster is about 22 1/2 inches long overall. The rear axle risers are missing but I believe they are available from Cattail Foundry in PA. It would also be pretty simple to make some kind of risers. It has the original handle brackets on the front axle as can be seen. With a little elbow grease it would be a perfect cart and it would certainly make moving your engine easier! I can deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. The pictures tell the story. It will likely be quite a while before another one turns up so don’t miss it. This is a beautiful old stationary rolling engine cart. It is in very good condition with no breaks or cracks in the iron wheels. Some wear to the wooden sections. The rear/top non-load bearing frame beam has some heavy wear and could use replacement. Rolls nicely with some sticking in the steering column. Some lubrication should free it up. This is a rather hard to find and pretty decent original factory cart made by Galloway for under their smaller engines. It is about the right size for a 1 1/2 to 3hp engine depending on size. It is in decent condition for its age. There are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs on it that I can see or know of except for two chips in the rear wheel hubs which is quite common on these carts. This won’t affect anything and isn’t real easy to notice unless you are looking. The cast iron wheels are 7 1/2 and 10 inches in diameter with 1 1/2 inch faces. The upper bolster is about 9 7/8 inches long overall and a faithful reproduction in cast iron from Cattail Foundry. The cart will need two angle irons of the correct length for your application to put your engine on it but this should be a pretty straightforward procedure. The axles are about 22 1/2 inches long. There are traces of original red paint in several spots and it would look great under a nice original engine. All of the wheels move as they should and it would certainly make moving your engine easier! I can deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. Rebuilt four bolt brass mag, usually starts on first pull (hand crank included with sale), runs great nice and slow with no cracks breaks or weld. Antique 1911 Waterloo Boy 2 1/2 hp. Hit and miss engine on Waterloo cart. Twenty years ago the previous owner had it bored and sleeved, with new rings, and crank. Two wheels on the cart have old repairs and all the wheels are a bit wobbly with age but cart pulls nice and is solid. I would guess that the head has an old repair, lower left side, but not sure on that either, starts easy and runs great, (sure on that) crank guard is a reproduction. Bolsters are cast iron of universal design, adaptable to your application. Fully machined and painted, ready for use. Axle u-bolts and mounting hardware included. Wheels are machine bored, rather than a rough cast cored hole. Handle mounting brackets clamp onto turning axle making handle mounting and removing easy. Instructions include with set. 12 diameter by 2 wide, 1-1/16 bore for ¾ pipe axle. Steering Bolster – 5 diameter base, 6-1/2 wide axle mount saddle, two 7/16 mounting bolts 3-3/4 apart. Solid bolsters – 3 tall, 4-1/2long mounting base, 1-1/2 thick. 3-1/2 long, 2 wide, 1 thick, ½ x 1 post. Maximum recommended engine weight is 500 pounds. The only parts needed to complete the cart are common 3/4 pipe for the axles, engine mounting rails, front bolster mounting plate, a handle and nuts and bolts. Up for your consideration is a 3 to 5 HP Hit and Miss gas engine factory cart for either a Rock Island, Alamo, or Empire gas engine. The cart is in great original condition with no cracks, breaks, or welds. All wheels turn easy and the handle is nice and straight. Only problem I see is some of the hub caps don’t match with show be an easy fix. Total length of rails is 46 3/4″ and total width is just under 12 1/2″. Front wheels measure 14″ and tears measure 15″. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Baraboo as long as it is paid for. Make sure to check out my other items for sale.
