Designed by NASCAR Goody’s Dash Champion Robert Huffman. Display Storage for 2 Hit n’ Miss Engines on Cart Trucks. Or the display storage could hold other John Deere items and equipment for show and parade. Holds 3 Children Parade Riders on back, or 2 Adults. 4 Storage Compartments with Doors and Large 42 Deep Bays. Ready for Display, Show and Parade. This wagon was designed and came from the. Heart of NASCAR country in NC and is referred to in NASCAR circles as a “War Wagon” This War Wagon was co-designed by Robert Huffman – the NASCAR Goody’s Dash 5 Time Champion from Claremont, NC. The War Wagon was co-fabricated by Robert Huffman and the Nash family in NC. The War Wagon hauls 2 John Deere Series E or other type Hit-and-Miss Motor Engines. These engines were built by John Deere starting in the mid-1920′s. And 1930′s for many purposes such as grinding feed, pumping water, saw mills and for many other uses on the farm. In recent years we’ve even heard old timers tell they were used to help manufacture moonshine in the south. They are really simple to work-on and to run. They had an unusual sound and can be seen at many County Fairs, Tractor and Engine shows making ice cream. Both of these units have been featured in magazines of which I have some copies. The dimensions on this parade wagon are 101″ long on the main box unit with the front tong extending another 36″. The width is 43 wide. It has room and seat belts in back to hold two people or children that may want to ride in back there for a parade… Or to keep an eye out for the Feds if you happen to be transporting any shine in one of the big four compartments. Beside the flag holders on top (flags included) there is also a pole mount on front for a large flag. Tires are like new. This war wagon was very well designed and even includes custom made ramps to easily roll-in and roll-out both engines on their carts. A picture above shows one metal ramp hooked in like you would do on both ramps when unloading. Blocks with cotter pins securely hold any engine inside and any cart has their own tracks so they can roll right on or off the wagon when needed. This is a real nice original McCormick deering(this is marked on the side) engine cart or truck It would work great under most any engine from about 1-3 horsepower. It is in excellent condition as can be seen and rolls very nicely. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It even has some nice original green paint in several spots and would look great under an original engine. IThis has some old thick old on it i was cleaning it and the i ran into the name on the side so i quit washining it so there is some of the old thick oil still left on it. The cart measures 45 long without handle x 20 inches wide 14 inches high the handle 44 inches long thee are cast iron wheels meaure back 12 across and front 8 inches acrosS THIS IS A ALL ORGINAL CART YOU DON’T FIND THESE EVERY DAY COMPLETE. This is a real nice original and very hard to find steel engine truck made by the Electric Wheel Company in Illinois. These were used under several companies engines and would work great under most any engine from about 4-8 horsepower. It is in excellent condition as can be seen and rolls very nicely. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except that one of the rear channel braces needs to be replaced as I’ve pointed out with a photo. The 5 inch channel iron rails are about 14 1/2 inches apart at the outsides and 84 inches long. They are very adjustable in width to accommodate your engine. The wheels are 24 and 34 inches in diameter with a 3 inch face. This is the hardest to find Electric Wheel truck with this sized wheels. The channels have many extra holes in them but could easily be replaced if you so choose. I can deliver this truck for free to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. The pictures tell the story. It’s pretty nice and it will certainly make moving your engine easier! The engine is mounted on a nice set of Fairbanks gas engine trucks, which I believe this engine has been on it most, if not all of it’s life. The engine has good compression, and starts right up every single time on the first crank after choke. The magneto on this engine is super hot, you don’t need to spin the engine super fast to get it going like most JD engines. The ONLY weld is on the bottom of the water jacket, right where most every JD engine is welded. The weld is a nice job and doesn’t leak, the water leaking you see in the video is coming from the worn out drain fitting. Both flywheels run perfectly true. It has the original flat belt pulley, the muffler however isn’t original but works just fine. Speed adjuster works just as it should, and so does the governor, this engine is ready to work, or play. If your looking for an engine in it’s work clothes that’s easy starting and will run all day, this is it. The engine is perfectly in time, runs smooth, coasts good, and is ready to hit the shows this summer and fall! Please see pictures and video, and decide for yourself. Wheels are machine bored, rather than a rough cast cored hole, and then the outer rim of the wheel is machined flat and smooth as opposed to tapered rough cast. Handle mounting brackets clamp onto turning axle making handle mounting and removing easy. Instructions include with set. 8″ diameter by 2″ wide, 1-1/6″ bore for ¾” pipe axle. Steering Bolster – 5″ diameter base, 6-1/2″ wide axle mount saddle, two 7/16″ mounting bolts 3-3/4″ apart. Solid bolsters – 3″ tall, 4-1/2″long mounting base, 1-1/2 thick. 3-1/2″ long, 2″ wide, 1″ thick, ½” x 1 post. Maximum recommended engine weight is 500 pounds.
