Here’s a real nice old 6-volt bench-type magnet charger. It seems to be in great shape as can be seen. I used it just before I took the pictures and it works great! It was factory built although I don’t know who the maker is. This is exactly the same as the magnet charger that was used at most of the International Harvester dealers in the 1930′s/1940′s. It is well built and measures about 5 1/2 x 8 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches tall. The fields are very adjustable with slots to accommodate most any size or width magnet. These chargers are indispensable tools if you work on old engines or tractors as most magnetos could use a good zap to reenergize! These original magnet chargers are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one to add to your shop here’s a really nice one.
