Vintage Scale Model United Air-Cooled Gas Engine. This engine has 6-inch flywheels and is machined from mostly cast iron and brass. It turns over and has compression and spark. It appears to be set up to run on propane although I have not run it. Engine looks to be complete; I don’t see any cracks or damage; there is some play in the crank bushings. Cosmetically: paint is faded and has chips, light surface rust and blemishes from age. (Battery and propane not included). Circa 1900 J F Child’s Steam Engine Toy Hit Miss in “as found” condition. Marked MADE IN GERMANY on the bottom. It has a tin base that looks like brick and some original paint that is visible. The upper portion has a bump on the outside edge. Looks like it is missing the smokestack. The flywheel, piston and the valve assembly moves freely. There is a small lever in the front of the piston that moves freely as well. The base measures 3 3/4″ x 5 9/16″. The boiler body measures 6 1/4 in length. The flywheel measures 2 1/4 in diameter. An Antique Horizontal Steam Engine Toy in “as found” condition. This Circa 1900 piece has not been tested. We do not see a name on it. Flywheel turns and the piston moves. The governor is present and spins. The blowoff valve does move but is missing it’s handle. There is some old finish visible and signs of use on the body. There is no burner. An Antique Steam Engine Toy in “as found” condition. Recently acquired from a nice clean old estate. This Circa 1900 piece has not been tested. It is marked J. It rests on a large tin base with old green, red and yellow pinstripe on it. Some wear showing and discoloration from age. The insignia is in the corner, see photos. Burner is inside the boiler and has the smokestack and little blowoff handle which moves. The engine turns free and has a unique two piston arrangement.
