Hit and miss Novo Engine / Edson Mfg Company Trash mud Pump With Orignal Cart Barn Find. Runs perfect extremely rare barn find with original patina. Novo engine with two Edson trash mud pumps. Runs very well both pumps have very good diaphragms. Good leather check valves. According to Edson mfg Boston mass records this is a one of one the novo engine was never drilled for a novo tag. It was built for a farm in south Decota. No cracks breaks or welds. The cart is built with hot rivets has all original gear guards, its a real museum piece. Contact me with any questions or pics. F W Spacke Machine Co, air compressor serial number 6743, made in Indianapolis. From the limited research i have been able to do this was made between 1903 and 1913. Search W F Spacke dot com on google. The pictures on the Spacke web page show a compressor very similar to this one, you can also see the brass name plate clearly Its complete apart from missing some grease cups on the top bearings. It works well but has not been refurnished. I would guess it weighs around 110 lbs stands 26 inch high. Ornate brass placque, very solid base with 4 bolt holes. Made in the usa. These all brass check valves have a low tension spring inside, and with the spring they can be mounted and used in any position. The light spring gives them a very low cracking pressure, in other words low fuel pressure will open the valve. If you have need for even lower pressure you can simply remove the spring as show in the picture. With no spring the valve needs to be installed in a vertical position so the ball falls down to seal.
