This is an extremely nice original United Power Pump Company vertical shop type two cylinder air compressor. It was made in the 19teens and is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for a broken foot on the base which should be a pretty straightforward repair as the piece is there. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It stands about 4 feet tall but has a rather small footprint which was designed to be a compact unit for service garages. Everything turns over and seems to work as it should. It is very greasy and oily and seems to be in great shape. It has many moving parts and everything is exposed leaving nothing to imagination! It has the original brass serial tag on it. This is a fantastic display piece for your early hit and miss gas engine display or machinery collection Oddball air compressors especially ornate ones like this hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets anymore so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss this one. The pictures tell the story. It would certainly be tough to find a neater one than this! I do not have a crank. It is not stuck, and turns over. I beleive it is complete, except for an exhaust pipe and crank. I do not know much about these so. Do your research about this item. I watched him start this in the past so I know it will run, I think all that’s needed is a 12 volt battery. It was built from a early 1900′s brunner air compressor pump. It comes with a 12 volt coil and a relay to use to make it a buzz coil type of ignition and a drawing explaining how to wire it up. It runs on gasoline, and possibly other fuels. The base is the gas tank. It has a lot of compression and everything moves smoothly. It has an 8 flywheel. Feel free to ask questions, and I’ll do my best to answer them. Nice compressor to hit and miss conversion. Vertical side shaft and flyball governor and it purrs like a kitten. Curtiss compressor and two 11 flywheels to make it run very well. I ran it this morning and i use coleman camp fuel. It has a model t coil and 12v battery for ignition. The coil and battery and cart go with the engine. Questions are just fine. Here is a neat old Goulds water cooled air compressor. It would make a really neat start to a homemade custom gas engine. The way it is configured looks like there is already a spot for a cam gear. 3″ Bore, 5″ Stroke. No cracks, breaks, or welds that I can see or know of. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back.
