Old BRIGGS STRATTON FI FH Industrial Hit Miss Gas Engine Air Cooled Motor NICE

This is a really nice older restoration and very hard to find Briggs and Stratton FI air cooled gasoline engine. It’s in great condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a very slight repair on a rocker arm and two very well made rocker towers. It turns over as it should and has good spark and good compression. According to a previous owner it was a running engine not long ago and I’m sure with some fresh gas and just a little effort it would run again although I haven’t tried it. Everything seems to function and interact as it should. It has the original rope start pulley on it as well as the original gas tank and cap as can be seen. This would be a fine addition to your early air cooled engine collection! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. This is a really nice older restoration Briggs and Stratton FH air cooled gasoline engine. It is an earlier version with the bronze carburetor as can be seen. It’s in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than some chipped fins on the cylinder which really don’t affect anything. It turns over as it should and has good spark and some compression but would benefit from a valve cleaning as it’s been sitting a while. According to a previous owner it was a running engine not long ago and I’m sure with some fresh gas and just a little effort it would run again although I haven’t tried it. Everything seems to function and interact as it should. It has the original rope start pulley on it as can be seen. This would be a fine addition to your early air cooled engine collection! This is a rather scarce size 7hp Ottawa hopper cooled hit and miss gas engine. It is a bit of a project but what’s there is in pretty decent shape. It turns over as it should. It appears to have the original belt pulley on it. There is some recent weld on the water jacket which needs to be ground down and two very old repairs on the ignition trip parts. One of the push rod holders is cracked but otherwise there are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. The hopper is just sitting on the cylinder. With the addition of the front end parts this should make a pretty good engine! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo,, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. This is a real nice mostly original Briggs and Stratton FH air cooled, kick start, gasoline engine. It’s in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It turns over as it should with some compression but it has been sitting for many years. It was a running engine at that time according to a previous owner. Everything seems to function and interact as it should. I’m sure with a little tinkering and fresh gas it should start right up but I haven’t tried it. It has decent original paint on most of it and also the original kick pedal and belt pulley. This would be a fine addition to your early air cooled engine collection! Here is an old and real original vertical Maytag air cooled hit and miss gas engine. It is in decent original condition with some original paint as can be seen. The flywheel and hub is in good shape and not cracked or broken like many of them. It turns over nicely and has excellent compression. There are a few chipped cooling fins, repairs on two of the main bearing ears, and a broken mounting hole but these are all common for these engines. This is a pretty nice older restoration Ideal air cooled hit and miss gas engine. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of other than a small chip on a flywheel hub and another on the pulley flange. Neither of these should affect its performance. It turns over nicely with good compression. The original mixer is with it but will need a new fuel line made which should be pretty straightforward. It will need a high tension buzz coil to run. It has the original muffler and air shroud which are usually missing. I haven’t run this engine but it ran a couple years ago. This should make a good show engine with minimal effort! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Coolspring PA, Baraboo, WI, or Portland, IN, later this year. Nice older restoration 3hp vertical, screen cooled IHC Famous hit and miss gas engine. It is on the original skids and cart with the handle. It was restored many years ago and shown. It turns over as it should with good compression and should run with minimal effort. It has the original pulley and correct muffler on it. The screen/tank have been remade but look good. Everything moves as it should and it has most of the original plumbing on it yet. There is a well done old repair on the water jacket an water pump bracket (as with most vertical IHC’s) and also on the water pump eccentric but it works just fine as is. The engine is missing the trip finger roller but this should be easy to find or make and I can point you in right direction for one. This should make a good show engine with minimal effort!
