This is an original cast iron starting crank for a large Witte hit and miss gas engines. It fits on a 2 inch crankshaft and is about 14 3/4 inches long. It will work to start many engines but it came from the factory with a Witte engine. The starting lug is in great shape with very little wear and moves as it should. This crank should be ready to go to work starting an engine! These cranks are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one to complete a restoration here it is. This is a very hard to find original cast iron starting crank for an International Harvester Tom Thumb or 1hp Famous or Titan hit and miss type gas engine. It fits on a 1 1/8 inch crankshaft and will work to start many engines. The starting lug is in great shape. As with several of these original cranks they either don’t have a part number on them or it is disguised under the paint. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It even has some original black paint on it yet. This crank should be ready to go to work starting an engine! These cranks are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one to complete a restoration here it is. It would surely make starting your engine easier! For your consideration is an original CRANK GUARD for a 1-1/2hp to 2hp FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Hit and Miss Stationary Gas Engine. It is in great shape and ready to use. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. This is for the 1-1/2hp to 2hp size engines NOT for the headless Z! It’s in Nice condition, it mounts with the main bearing bolts. The mounting spacing might be from around 7-1/4″ to 7-3/4″ apart on center. There is a slight link on the right side mounting arm which can be easily fixed, and it has some inside surface rusting which adds to the original patina. Crank Guard for 6HP Fairbanks “Z”. Crank guard is in good condition and ready to use. 6 HP Fairbanks Morse Z. About 6 3/4″ at the base and 5″ at rear. Sits inside the base at rear and bolts on the back of hopper toward the front. Its about 21 1/4 measured end to end straight through. Please be sure to review all of the pictures and description. For your consideration is a Hercules Crank Guard for I believe a 5-6hp Hit Miss Engine. It is about 8 between the center to center of the slots for the mounting bolts. It’s about 15-5/8 from tip of top to tip of bottom flange. The guard part is about around 6-1/2 wide. You could use this on an Economy engine but you’d have to drill the engine back. It is heavy and made of cast iron.
