This was manufactured in the U. There is an original flywheel and a Stromberg Carb. The flywheel measures 11.5 across and 2 8/16 wide. I inside dimensions of the flywheel where the crank shaft runs is 1 1/8. The Carb is a Stromberg UR-3/4 80. Motor rolls but unsure if it will fire. Mounted on a couple old blocks. The Oiler glass is broken. The 2 crank case flanges closest to the flywheel that bolt the engine down have the corners broken off. One bolt to the brass oil fill will need to be retapped. I got it running properly, and have been running it for the last year at various engine shows, and it is now time to move it on to a new owner. If you are looking for a ready to run model hit and miss engine, this is for you! This is a Phillip Duclos six cycle hit and miss engine in running condition. It has a custom made visible fuel tank with a check valve, as well as a complete ignition system capable of running on the included four AA batteries with an on/off switch. It is also set up to use a larger battery of your choice, and will run on six or twelve volts, with no changes to the ignition system necessary. The machine work is excellent and has been done to a very high standard. The engine is made from all stock materials or either steel, aluminum, or brass. The flywheels measure four and a half inch in diameter. There is a very slight crack in the wooden base, and there is a close up picture of this, as part of the description. I will included detailed instructions of how to start, run, and maintain the engine. I can also deliver it for free to the Cabin Fever Show. Items not paid for within 24 hours will be relisted. This engine is a Philip Duclos six cycle hit and miss engine, built from stock materials — no castings. Phil Duclos was a designer of sometimes different or oddball engines. His blueprints were published in Popular Science magazines in the 1950′s and 1960′s, and people have been building his engines ever since. This engine is a more recent build, done by a highly skilled machinist. The flywheels measure 4 1/2 in diameter. The workmanship is to a very high standard. Unfortunately, the builder was never able to get it to run. It is now time for me to move it along. I think the idea of an engine that only fires once every sixth stroke was that it would run cooler, or he just designed it to show that it could be done! The engine is made of aluminum, steel, and brass. A video of it running can be see here. Along with the engine, I will include detailed instructions to the new owner of how to start, operate, and maintain it. I have added the custom made visible fuel tank with a check valve for trouble-free operation. I can also include a wiring diagram and information for building your own ignition system. All that is really needed is a six or twelve volt coil and a matching battery. Be sure to tell your wife that this is just what you want for Christmas!
